What does it mean "overlook"? what does it means ' over look'? If say "I must over looked your message" is that means I must repeat to read your message? Thanks for help~

The sentence 'I must have overlooked your message' means I didn't see your message, or I didn't notice it. Note the word 'have' is necessary in this sentence. This sentence could be used as a polite excuse if the message had actually been read and for some reason the recipient didn't want to respond to it.
