What weather do you like? Hi Gurus! I'm composing a dialogue for my daughter - it's about weather. Could you please have a look whether all the sentences sound natural. 1. Hi Matt. What weather do you like? 2. Hello Paul. I like hot weather. And you? 3. I like raining. [is it better to say - I like rain? / I like rainy weather?] 4. Oh! Do you like cold? 5. Yes, I like cold. It makes me comfortable if I wear warm clothes. 6. I got it! So, what is the weather like today? 7. Today is windy and sunny. 8. Great! Let's play together in the yard. 9. OK. Le's go! Thank you!

1. Hi Matt. What kind of weather do you like? 3. I like rainy weather. (Or: I like it when it rains.) 4. Oh, do you like the cold? (Or: Oh, do you like cold weather?) 5. Yes, I like the cold. I like to wear warm clothes when it is cold. (This one depends on intention) 6. Got it! (Or: I see.) 9. OK, let’s go. (Probably just a typo.) Nice! Fun dialogue.

3) If you say "I like raining", it sounds like the speaker themselves is doing the raining, instead of the sky or weather doing the raining. I would say "I like when it rains", but I think your alternatives work. 4) I would personally say "the cold", "cold weather", or "when it's cold out" instead of just "cold" when talking about weather instead of the general sensation of feeling cold. 5) "Yes, I like the cold. It makes it more comfortable to wear warm clothes." 7) "Today, it's windy and sunny". The question was about the weather and not the day, so I prefer to say "it's" to refer to the weather itself. I think "It's windy and sunny today" is probably more common. 9) I think this is a typo. It should be: "OK. Let's go"
