En français le verbe ''embrasser''? Est-il toujours utilisé comment ''donnner un/des baisers''? Ou est-il/était-il aussi utilisé pour signifier ''prendre entre ses bras''?

On peut aussi utiliser le verbe métaphoriquement, comme dans l'expression "embrasser une idéologie".

A ma connaissance, embrasser peut signifier prendre quelqu'un ou quelque chose dans ses bras, mais c'est du langage littéraire. Dans le langage courant, on utilisera plutôt prendre dans ses bras, étreindre ou enlacer.
