Bread is one of the oldest foods known to man and has been a staple food for over 5,000 years. It even has the biblical name of The Staff of Life. Some 8,000 years ago man made flour by crushing grains between two stones. The flour was mixed with water and the paste was dried in the sun, making a bread. After this, a bake stone was used to bake a risen loaf.The Egyptians were the first to use yeast and produce risen loaves. They also invented the first oven for baking. From there on people ate every kind of bread, depending on where they lived. Different types of breads are eaten by Australians, starting off with toast in the morning, sandwiches/rolls for lunch and sometimes Turkish or pitta bread with different dips for entertaining.

well, Becase of climate,rice grow in south China while wheat grow in north China,in south China,rice is the stable food ,and in north China,people prefer food made of flour.Oringinally,Chinese had no idea about bread,even now we just eat it as snack.But we have some kinds of food similar to bread(only in my opinion),we call that "man tou"(it has nothing to do with "man").Man tou is also made of flour ,but people steam it instead of toast it.

why it was invinted i don't know but i think it was a great invintion . and yes we eat it alot in Egypt !

i am not sure about how it was invented! but i like it much! and in india it is famous! now i am foreign medicine student at china. it is also important part of food! because with bread you can have many kinds of other things,,vegetables, jams..so on...!

I think they invented the bread because it' the most cheap thing between the foods and all the ppl can buy it especially the poor poeple cuz they don't have enough mony to buy the main things ... and of course I like it .... it's very important in our country egypt .
