Bad luck
Hi, there
Let’s say you are at a gas station and a car is waiting behind you at the line for a pump. Then he/she cuts in front of you at the line, but the pump jams up(can I use “jams up” here?) and stops working. What are some slang phrases you could use to express your “delight” at the bad luck of the person who cut in line? Let’s say you are in your car and you are just “ranting”, speaking to yourself.
“Ha! That’s what you get!”
“Ha! You just played yourself”
“Ha! Joke’s on you”
Do these sound odd? If so, what could I say?
Thank you!

Been there, sitting in a car ranting to myself!! The first and last phrases sound good. The middle would be more 'you just got played yourself!',which would be more about someone pulling a scam who gets scammed his/herself.

You could say "have a nice day" , which would be ironic .

I wouldn't say anything, especially if you dont know the person. You could trigger road rage. Maybe the person is carrying a gun and is unstable. Just be nice to people, even when they are not nice to you. You never know what's going on with the other person.
