I don't know this still works 1. open group chat 2. make other member in the new group chat leave so that you're the only one in the group chat 3. invite your friend of interest 3.1 if you cannot invite him or her, then he or she blocked you

no they won't know wether you invited or not unless you say something in the group chat room
