Hello ! I want to know the meaning of "middle child". Does "middle"mean the age of the child ?Thanks

It is the second of three children in a family. I am a middle child.
I have never heard of this syndrome that Johar mentions.

"middle child means ,that the child is not the oldest nor the youngest .(has an older sibling and a younger sibling). There is also a syndrome call MIDDLE CHILD SYNDROME . If there are 3 children, then the first one is the eldest child, the second one is called the middle child and the third one is the youngest child.
