Was ist der Unterschied zwischen 'Zweig' und 'Ast'?
Kann man sagt ' Die Ärste brechen?' Oder 'die Ärste abbrechen'?

Ein "Ast" ist ein stärkerer "Zweig". Er ist also dicker als der Zweig.
Im Prinzip ist beides möglich.
Wenn man Äste abbricht, dann bricht man sie von einem Baum ab.
Wenn man Äste bricht, dann bricht man sie lediglich durch, z.B. in der Mitte.
