短信， SMS， text message？
在美国我们一般叫手机的短信， "text message".
在中国你们说什么？ 短信，SMS？ 都可以吗？还用别的吗？ 哪是最常用的？

In the US, we usually call mobile phone SMS messages, "text messages"
In China, what do you call these? 短信， SMS, or something else? What is most commonly used?

短信、sms都可以，短信是最通用的说法。
同理，“彩信”等同于mms，一般直接说彩信。
补充：还有一种更casual的说法：发消息（send a message）。例如：一会儿我给你发消息，告诉你在哪里见面。
