How to properly use the Hindi full stop (पूर्ण विराम)? Should there be a space before it?

If you mean the danda: | there absolutely should be a space because if you add it directly to the last word it could easily be mistaken for a long a-sound.
to see yourself what it looks like just take a look at the hindi wikipedia or choose any other hindi homepage.

No , we can't leave space before "|" but dont merge with letter.
And yeah, we have to give space after "|".
And formally we cant use full stop.
