Comfortable is how you feel when you use or do something that gives comfort. For example, a blanket, a sweater, a well fitting pair of shoes. These things are comfortable. They make you feel comfortable. They bring you comfort. If someone gives you a hug when you are sad, they are comforting you. You can also use the word comfort in terms of money. "Earning a comfortable living." means making enough money at your job that you don't have to worry too much about money. You have enough for food, clothes, shelter, entertainment, etc. Similarly, a hotel (for example) can have a lot of comforts. Things that make your stay at the hotel nicer or more comfortable. Free breakfast, lots of towels, air conditioning. These types of things could also be called conveniences. A convenience or a convenient thing is something that makes things easier or simpler. A free breakfast provided by the hotel means you won't have to look around for a place to eat in the morning. That is convenient. It makes more sense to call that a convenience than to call it a comfort. All together, having a lot of conveniences can make your stay at a hotel more comfortable because you will feel relaxed when you don't have to worry about anything, just like a warm blanket or hug from a friend will make you feel. An airplane that is shaking a lot is uncomfortable for the passengers. Not being able to find your luggage in a large airport is inconvenient. Hope that helps!
