One of my friends has learned Zi wei dou shu, the traditional Chinese astrology, and I asked her to analyze my astrolabe. My friend said that the purpose of analyzing our astrolabes was to help us know ourselves better instead of predicting the future. With the help of our own astrolabes, we can learn more about our personality, work, wealth, health, relationships, and so forth. After my recent experience of fortune-telling, I realized that my attitude toward mysticism has changed a lot. When I was young, I thought mysticism was interesting but unreliable. Now my attitude has become more tolerant and positive. Although I still can’t understand the principles of it, I respect and even believe in it. One of my friends considers fortune-telling a unique way of psychological counseling, and I think this makes sense. I felt more confident about myself and my life after I had a thorough grasp of my astrolabe.
