The French “ L'amour triomphe de tout “ ,whose English translation is “ Love is more than everything”, is Edith Piaf’s credo. A journalist asked a question when interviewing her : what suggestions will you give both women , girls and children? She just simply answered : To love! The name “ Piaf” means little skylark in French because she is petite and only 1.42 meters tall. However she captured many fans’ heart by her beautiful voice.She received “ Lifetime achievement award” in France in 1961.She died of liver cancer at the age of 47 and France government even held a national funeral for her. Nearly 100 thousands fans was following the funeral procession.
