Could anyone explains to me how can I use the verb "suggest"? And why "explains TO ME"? I know that "Suggest" is never followed by a personal object, but I don't know why. The other question is this: Why "explain me" is incorrect?

My daily routine Today I want to talk about my daily routine. My week is very busy. It’s a bit boring, because I do the same things every day. When I’m too tired, I think so “don’t worry, you’ll be free very soon ”. In fact when I’m free I take advantage to travel, to meet my friends and to stay with my family, especially with my parents. I study law, so when I have to go to University I wake up at 7:30 a.m. and I get up at 7:40 a.m. I have breakfast. I take a shower. I leave my house at 8:30 a.m. and I rest at (maybe “I’m at”?) University until 13:00. Then I come back at home (or “come back home”?) and I have lunch at 13:30. I relax. In the afternoon I study from 15:30 to(or “until” or both are correct?) 19:00. I have dinner at 21:00. Then I watch a film. I always stay up late. In general I go to bed (or “I go to sleep”?) between 1:00 and 3:00 a.m. o’clock. I hate to sleep. If I could I always stay up! When I don’t have classes (or “a class”?) at University, I get up at 9:00 a.m. and I study from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. The afternoon is the same I said before. I love to spend a lot of time with my family and my friends, but in general I can’t do it because I’m very busy. My parents are very busy too. My father is a really hardworker. He works in a bank. He gets up at 6:30 a.m. and He works from 8:00 a.m. until 19:00. My mother is a housewife. She works all day for us. In my free time I love spending time with my friends or learning languages. Currently I have been studying English for 11 months and German for 2 months. I take English classes twice a week to improve my English. I’m not fluently in, but I think I can be understood :)

Wat's the difference between "like" and "as" and when I should use them? I don't know when I can use "like" and when I can use "as".
