Can anyone help me with learning basic Japanese, I have studied some Kanji but I've almost never had a chance to utilize it, would be nice if someone could help

Can anyone chat with me in basic Japanese? I was told by my marketing professor that if I wanted to learn Japanese to speak Japanese with someone, it would be really great if someone could help me.
