Hallo! I’m Liselot. I'm from Belgium, and I’ve been living in Chile for the past five years. I’m both a tutor and a student (mainly of French) on italki, which helps me understand language learning from both sides. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading in Dutch and Spanish, writing, and sharing good food and meaningful conversations with friends. I try to live intentionally and thoughtfully, and this philosophy shapes my teaching. From 2022 to 2025, I taught Dutch to groups of Spanish speakers. In 2024–2025, I focused on becoming a first-time mom while studying (literary) translation (ES–NL). Now, in 2026, I’m happy to return to teaching with renewed energy. My goal is to make your language learning journey both effective and enjoyable. Each lesson is tailored to your level, needs and pace. I aim to create a safe space where you feel confident speaking Dutch. Learning Dutch (or any language) comes with ups and downs. Let's try to make each lesson an "up" moment! I teach Dutch on italki to learners of all levels and backgrounds. I especially enjoy working with Spanish speakers, but I'm happy to teach in English as well! Or we can go straight into Dutch ;-) The lessons are all about you, so please feel free to share your goals, preferences, or doubts anytime. I'm here to help, guide, and encourage you.
