Hi,
My name is Karen. I am from Suriname. In 1975, my country became independent from the Netherlands. So, Dutch is my mother tongue.
I love languages. I am proficient in English and I also speak French, Mandarin, Portuguese, Spanish and the local Sranan Tongo.
Exploiting new destinations, meeting people and learning about different cultures are my favorite activities. I am also interested in getting to know you!ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I studied tourism, business management and law. Since 2007, I have been teaching different subjects to adolescents, adults and professionals. I am pedagogically qualified to develop study materials, to teach and to assess students. If you are interested in learning practical or business Dutch, you are at the right place. Amazing lesson! Karen prepares the lesson based on what I like. Today, for example, we studied a poem from the greatest Surinamese poet. It is so interesting a profoundly cultural to study Dutch in this way. Dankjewel Karen 💜

Not only I am learning Dutch but also I am getting to know your amazing country full of diversity. Your lessons are the most cultural and inspiring of all. You gave me such a great idea by speaking about batik art in Suriname and maybe I will try to bring this art in my small Italian city. Can't wait for the next class! 💜
