👋Hi and welcome! My name is Matthea, I am 27 years old and I live in beautiful Uganda. I was born and raised in the Netherlands, I lived in a town called Dordrecht for 23 years. Dutch is my mother tongue, but I am also fluent in English since I speak English most of the time nowadays. I love visiting other countries, being creative (also digitally) and cooking! I've been teaching on Italki for over a year and I have done 1000+ lessons!ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
🎓I have a degree in Primary Education and I was a primary school teacher (mostly ages 10/11) in the Netherlands for a few years. After that, I moved to Uganda to homeschool some children. I also gave them lessons in Dutch as a second language. Since I love to be able to focus on one person, adapt to their needs and create lessons for them, I am excited to teach online.

💻 I love to prepare my lessons well and use variety, so it's stays interesting. I will adapt to what you want to focus on and together we will make a plan for you. I will keep repeating what we have learned, so it's easier for you to remember.

Matthea has been a fantastic Dutch docent for me. She’s super organized, and prepares really good materials for us to work through for each lesson. She was previously a primary school teacher, and it’s really obvious that she has learned how to teach and explain things well. She’s kind and patient.

It is so nice to learn Dutch with Mattea.. She helps me a lot with the pronounciation and grammars. She prepared a different topics for me to learn and patiently teaches me. Sadly, we can only have short lesson at the moment. But, I do hope I can learn from her again in future
