Hi! I’m Carl, a passionate language teacher from Suriname, where both Dutch and English are part of daily life. As a teacher, I like to keep my lessons relaxed, clear, and a little bit fun! Learning Dutch or English should never feel stressful, it should feel like an enjoyable chat that helps you grow. I adapt each lesson to your needs and learning style, whether you want to sound more natural, improve your pronunciation, or just gain confidence. Expect a mix of laughter, patience, and real progress in every class.

I've taken almost 10 lessons with Carl now and feel like my sentences flow a bit better and better every time. He is always patient, encouraging, asking good questions to keep the conversation going, and sharing his own stories. The teacher always gives examples in class and explains things in a really simple way whenever I don’t understand. The one-hour lesson goes by so fast. At first, I was nervous because I was scared of speaking and not being able to express myself, but I got comfortable quickly because the teacher is very kind and supportive.
