"I'm not myself in English." You know exactly who you are in your language. Authoritative. Clear. Confident. You know what to say, how to say it, where to put your hands. Then English enters the room. And someone else shows up instead. In this episode I name what is actually happening when you switch languages — and it is not a vocabulary problem or a grammar problem. It is a personality split. You shift from your original self into a student. And students do not lead meetings, do not win interviews, do not command rooms. The methods you have been using to fix this were never designed to solve it. They were solving something else entirely. Listen to this. Then ask yourself: who actually shows up when you speak English?
I'm not myself in English!
