In this lesson students will participate in a range of formal debates. Each lesson will be based around a different topic but will follow the same structure: - Introduction to the topic - Informal discussion around the topic - Explanation of the statement we will debate - Preparation time - formulate and practice your opening statement and main arguments - The DEBATE - Review of the points raised and language used This class is perfect for anyone who is already an intermediate level speaker (B1 / B2) and wants to focus on developing their speaking skills.

Each task will require you to not only speak about specific, intellectual topics, but also adapt your language to be persuasive and convincing. This lesson will require you to actively listen to others points of view, formulate your own response and support your views and opinions with relevant details and examples.
