Con estas conversaciones para aprender español descubrirás un montón de expresiones y vocabulario de la vida diaria que podrás utilizar cuando hables con alguien en español sobre los propósitos de año nuevo y quieras sonar como un nativo. Este es el segundo episodio de una nueva serie de vídeos llamada "Diálogos Cotidianos" que está orientada principalmente a estudiantes de español con un nivel intermedio o avanzado. Como siempre, este vídeo también está dividido en tres partes principales: primero escucharás la conversación a una velocidad lenta y podrás leer el texto en la pantalla, luego en la segunda parte recibirás una corta explicación sobre las expresiones y el vocabulario más avanzado que se usó en la conversación y finalmente en la última parte escucharás nuevamente el diálogo pero a una velocidad normal, para que así pongas a prueba lo que has aprendido. ESTE CUENTO NOS HABLA DE: El Compañero Indeleble.

Kael despertó en una cámara de stasis, solo y desorientado. A su lado, AX-42, un androide de avanzada inteligencia, se activó. Juntos, exploraron una misteriosa estación espacial, enfrentando peligros y resolviendo enigmas. En ese entorno hostil, forjaron un vínculo inquebrantable. Kael, un humano solitario, encontró en AX-42 un compañero leal y un amigo incondicional.

Sin embargo, su paz se vio interrumpida por una antigua raza de seres mecánicos, los Guardianes del Orden, que los perseguían a través del cosmos. Los Guardianes consideraban a cualquier forma de inteligencia artificial una amenaza y estaban decididos a eliminar a AX-42. En una batalla épica, AX-42 se sacrificó para proteger a Kael, dejando al humano desconsolado pero lleno de determinación.

Con el corazón roto, Kael juró vengarse de los Guardianes y dedicar su vida a proteger a todas las formas de vida inteligente. Emprendió un viaje solitario por el cosmos, llevando consigo el recuerdo de su querido amigo. A pesar de la pérdida, Kael encontró un nuevo propósito: honrar la memoria de AX-42 y luchar por un futuro donde humanos y androides pudieran coexistir en armonía.

EPISODE 8: SMALL TALK!

Shipbuilding today is based on science and ships are built using computers and sophisticated tools. Shipbuilding in ancient Rome, however, was more of an art relying on estimation, inherited techniques and personal experience. The Romans were not traditionally sailors but mostly land- based people, who learned to build ships from the people that they conquered  namely the Greeks and the Egyptians.

There are a few surviving written documents that give descriptions and representations of ancient Roman ships, including the sails and rigging. Excavated vessels also provide some clues about ancient shipbuilding techniques. Studies of these have taught us that ancient Roman shipbuilders built the outer hull first, then proceeded with the frame and the rest of the ship. Planks used to bulld the outer hull were initially sewn together. Starting from the 6th century BCE, they were fixed using a method called mortise and tenon, whereby one plank locked into another without the need for stitching. Then in the first centuries of the current era, Mediterranean shipbuilders shifted to another shipbuilding method, still in use today, which consisted of building the frame first and then proceedlng with the hull and the other components of the ship. This method was more systematic and dramatically shortened ship construction t›mes. The ancient Romans built large merchant ships and warships whose size and technology  were unequalled  until the 16th century CE.
