Can you correct these sentences please?

Try to use the Present and Past Continuous Word Patterns less (e.g. "am walking", "was walking", "have been walking", "had been walking"). They are cumbersome and usually unnecessary. The ideas they express are better conveyed by simply using the participles as adjectives, as I have done in my corrections.
