There's really no difference in meaning, but the second one should be "perceived to have been done." That said, neither one sounds natural. They're both very verbose. I would recommend: She made some changes to try to become what she thought he wanted.

The two sentences convey a similar meaning, but there are subtle differences in their construction: "These changes were seen as being made to satisfy him, to become what she thought he desired." "These changes were perceived to be done to satisfy him, to become what she thought he desired." The main difference lies in the choice of verbs: "seen as being made" in the first sentence versus "perceived to be done" in the second. "Seen as being made" suggests that the changes were observed or recognized by someone (the narrator or others) as actively being carried out with the purpose of satisfying him. "Perceived to be done" suggests that there was a perception or belief that the changes were being made with the intention of satisfying him, but it may not necessarily imply direct observation. So, the difference lies in the nuance of how the changes are perceived or observed. The first sentence emphasizes the direct observation or awareness of the changes being made, while the second sentence emphasizes the perception or belief that the changes were being done for a certain purpose.

Both sentences convey a similar meaning but with slight differences in nuance: "These changes were seen as being made to satisfy him, to become what she thought he desired." This sentence implies that the changes were observed or noticed by someone (perhaps a third party) and interpreted as being made with the intention of satisfying him. The use of "seen as being made" suggests that there's a perception or interpretation involved. "These changes were perceived to be done to satisfy him, to become what she thought he desired." In this sentence, the focus is more on the perception of the changes. The word "perceived" suggests that someone (again, possibly a third party) formed a belief or understanding that the changes were made with the intention of satisfying him. The use of "perceived to be done" emphasizes the perception of the action. In summary, while both sentences convey the idea that changes were made to satisfy him based on her perception of his desires, the first one emphasizes the observation of the changes, while the second one emphasizes the perception of the motive behind those changes.
