Many people told me that Shawn is a boy's name.
So is it really strange for a girl to use it? Do you know any girl called Shawn?

Not personally but there was a famous actress in the 80s called Sean Young. Shawn is a variant spelling of Sean. Names often move from female to male or vice versa or they become gender neutral.

Shawn can be used as a name for any gender. It’s not strange at all.
