The biggest culture shock I ever faced was in regard to "open relationships". I saw a TV show on Bilibili yesterday. It’s was a talk show. Some Chinese hosts invite some foreigners to discuss a certain topic. The episode I saw was about marriage and relationships. An American boy announced that he wanted to be in an open relationship. He hoped that he and his future wife would love each other with all their heart during the first five years of their marriage. After that they would be allowed to have other lovers for fun. But they would not be going to get divorced. He called it an open relationship. I cannot help but wonder, what’s the meaning of marriage? =.= Is it usual in America? Please kindly correct my mistakes and tell me your opinion.
