The difference between working in Italy and Brazil I work for a italian company in brazil and I had the opportunity to go to Italy to work in the headquarter for one week. Well, I loved the company in Italy. The people in the company were very similar( or alike ??) to brazilians. They liked to hug, to kiss, they have good energy and the climate in the company was great. In the beginning I just have some trainning about the rotines of the financial departament. Everything was fine and easy. A person from the controlling departament started to talk about my reports after the training and that was the heavy part. Some accounting topics are differents depending on the country, and when we talked about this topics I noticed that this person was a little rude with me. Honestly I got a little scared, because I was not expecting this behavior. After a while I noticed that they treat themselves the same way in the company. They are not rude, but the way they talk or the intonation of their voices are not friendly at all. I felt like I was being intimidated. Weird. Well, a friend of mine who works there, too, told me that it is common to find this kind of behavior in other companies in Italy. I love Italy and it could be a place to live one day, but I don't know if I could tolarate this behavior from other people frequently.
