I stumbled upon cadode’s “ワンダー (Wonder)” on Valentine’s Day this year. Since the song quickly builds up to its chorus within the first 20 seconds, I thought that it was going to be a typical Japanese rock song that has loud drops with many instruments. But then, in the first chorus, the song smoothly transitions into a minimal four-on-the-floor beat accompanied with only electric piano and percussion sounds. That was a good surprise. Overall, I thought the arrangement of this song was very clever and clean. Also, the vibe perfectly suited the cozy Valentine’s Day I had this year. I really enjoyed this track.
