I highly appreciate that the elders can still try to learn new things. First, the average lifetime of human has been greatly expanded when compared with the situation decades ago. It is due to the high level of medical maturity and the continuous improvement of living standards. So 65 is not a age of dying but a age of happy retired life. Second, 65 is a great age when most people can have both time and money, with a relatively healthy body, you can do a lot of things if you want. So it is also a good time to learn something new. Finally, I think it is never too late to learn something new no matter how old we are, because holding curiosity to the world is just a life attitude, it is a way to make people feel they are alive and life is meaningful.

I am way past 65, still teaching, learning new things and living an active life.
