There are many holidays in my country from the beginning to the end of the year. Each holiday is about a specific festival. We usually start the year from the Chinese New Year. It's on the first day of every lunar year (January 1st is from Christian calendars). When I walk around downtown, all the streets are covered with red decorations, such as red flags and red lanterns. People are flooding into markets, grocery stores to buy a variety of food. People who work far away from their hometown traveled back to their parents' home to have a family reunion. People don't care about how much money they earn during the previous year, they just want to go home this time. All Chinese people have the same purpose now which is staying at home. The food cooked by mothers, and the laughter from family members can really comfort everyone. All the things which/that (preferred) had made them tried disappeared. The world is full of joy! I think that this is the reason why we like holidays.
