Be there and care for the children. That’s it. As a father and now a grandfather the best advice I can give to new dads and parents is to be there and care for the children. When a kid sees you at a dance recital, wrestling match, spelling bee, or anything that you can do to support them, that is what is important. When they break rules, or get in trouble, just be there and show them you care. Discipline and encouragement are equally good to show you are there and that you care. That’s all I have.
