I do not agree about French being the most beautiful language in the world. As far as I'm concerned, the language the most beautiful is a myth because each language is unique and has its own beauty just like us, the humain being. And for your second question, just as everyone has his strong point and weak point, each language has something simple and something difficult in it. I can't say that French is one of the hardest languages in the world since that I do not know all the languages in the world (I think nobody do, the very multilingual that I know speaks 20 language. I can only say that French is more complicated than English.
Concerning my Frenche learning, I recognize that it was not easy for me when I started to learn it. There are many reasons for that : firstly, compared with Chinese, the French falls within a totally different language system. Its grammar is just like something of mathematic (well, German is worse... ), the conjugation do not exist in Chinese etc. However, it becomes easier once it becomes familier to you and in fact this is the something for all language learning. And just like French, other languages have somenthing diffcult for its learners too, for instance the Chinese or Arabic character...
Thank you !

Learning languages is a very subjective experience and journey. Each person may have a different experience, normally influenced by the mother tongue and culture. For me, I started with English and Chinese, two very different languages. i then studied French as my third language. Because of my regional work, I went on to do Indonesian, Thai, Italian, Spanish ....I realised that many people loved the mellifluous sounds of Romance languages, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese ...
Which is the most beautiful language is really debatable. But I do believe that if you personally love a particular language, then it's up to you to decide. Just enjoy your language(s).

An interesting piece and well done. I just have a few suggestions. In comparing French and English, since they’re my two best languages, I would say that English grammar is easier, but French spelling and pronunciation are easier for second language learners because they are much more regular.

Concerning my French learning experience, I can say that I recognize it was not easy for me when I started learning. There are many reasons for that: firstly, compared to Chinese, French uses a totally different language system. Its grammar is like something of out of mathematics textbook (well, German is worse...), the conjugations do not exist in Chinese, etc. However, it becomes easier once you become familiar with it, and in fact, this is the same for all languages. And just like French, other languages have something difficult too, for instance Chinese or Arabic characters.
Thank you!
