I had good sunny day. I was able to walk in the garden, pick berries and eat them fresh. I like eating berries freshly plucked from a tree but can't do it often

In your sentence, "it" does not clearly refer to anything. It is not possible to "do freshly picked berries". You can only "do" an action. "Berries" are not an action, but "eating" is.
