English was my favorite subject in school. I started learning English when I was in middle school, and was obsessed with it. It is the first foreign language I was ever interested in learning more about. I wondered how to pronounce it correctly at the beginning, but then the teacher taught us the IPA. The IPA can help people pronounce new words on their own, and is a crucial step in learning English. I appreciated that teacher so much. Learning the IPA gave me a good foundation in English. I was definitely good at this subject, and was even chosen to be an English representative. My classmates would ask me English questions whenever we met. The teacher always praised me in English class, which made me feel proud of myself. I had a dream that I could communicate with native speakers one day. How amazing would that be? So I decided to study hard, and get the hang of it as quickly as possible.
