eu diria: "é muito estranho que HAJA verbos que terminEM com -or" ou "é muito estranho o fato de haver verbos..."

Olá Dylan!
Existe apenas uma conjugação verbal com a terminação OR. Todos os verbos nessa categoria são derivados de PÔR, que é um verbo irregular. Então a dica é você gravar todas as conjugações do verbo pôr e todos os outros verbos terminador em -or terão a mesma terminação.
Exemplo:
Eu PONHO
Eu rePONHO
Eu suPONHO
Eu comPONHO
