This is an unusual question. They say you need to surround yourself with English. So, the story is my fridge got broken. I called the repairman and he came and installed a cold evaporator plate inside the fridge. However, the fridge isn't working properly, and I paid a lot of money i.e. 40% of the cost of a new fridge. Surrounding myself with English I decided to watch some videos on YT on how people install evaporator plate inside the fridge. The reason for this is that freon in the pipes at the back of the fridge which are hidden and are unaccessible is leaking somewhere.
Anyway, there are hundreds of such videos in Russian (like this one https://youtu.be/NQSmCMLAQq0), but I couldn't find any of the videos in English.
Does it mean that people in English-speaking countries don't install this evaporator plate? It seems like you guys have some other types of the fridge.
Could you write the exact model of the fridge you are using for me to get more familiar with the topic?

I am no refrigerator repair person, but this sounds like a serious repair, that the average North American homeowner would have done only by a professional. Since the cost of the repair was 40% of the cost of a new fridge, depending upon the age of the fridge, personally, I would probably just get a new one. With that you get a warranty and more up to date technology. Perhaps in Russia the decision would be different.

Having said that, perhaps you are just searching on YT for the wrong phrase? Could it be the "evaporator coil" rather than "plate"? There seem to be lots of videos on that.

If you want to really immerse yourself in English, try phoning the manufacturer. Assuming you can get through to someone, it will be a good language learning experience I would think. Much like the first time I saw a doctor who only spoke French.

Also Sasha, some of these refrigerant gasses are harmful to the atmosphere and so need a trained and licenced plumber to work on them, in order to minimise the risk of such gasses escaping to the atmosphere/ozone layer. 
Most people wouldn't repair such a thing themselves. They'd simply buy a new fridge with a 5+ year warranty. Otherwise an air-conditioning plumber would do the work.
