Although Rasulullah Salallahu 'alai wassalam didn't teach us, Indonesian celebrate his birthday and today is a holiday to celebrate his birthday. 

There are two opinion about that:

1. strickly prohibited

2. Although Rasulullah Salallahu 'alai wassalam didn't teach us, the existence of His birthday not contradictory to Islam.

we don't celebrate prphet's birthday because he didn't teach that. He taught that there is only two celebration days in islam, two eids.

I totally agree with Arafath.

As I think He doesn't mean that we have to celebrate it , he just said happy Eid , we are all know that this is just heresy to celebrate birthday of prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
