How to understand this sentence

"The best car I can get for fifteen hundred dollars", is it right in terms of grammar? How to understand the 'for' right after the 'get'?

Thank you so much.

It is correct as a sentence fragment.  It lacks a subject and main verb e.g. "It is the best car...." which would make it a complete sentence.

"for" here means "in return for" or "in exchange for".  I give you $1500.  You give me a car.

We often talk about what we can get "for" our money i.e. what our money can buy.

It is correct, but it is not a full sentence. It means: "the best car you would be able to get when you pay $1500".
