To all students/teachers on italki,
Did it ever happen that you were learning or teaching and fell in love with that person and later got married? If there is any real story on this, i would surely like to know specially from experienced italki users!
(Note: I'm not inviting people to make italki a dating website, this is just a genuine question)
I met my penfriend after one year of being long distance, we decided to marry, I quit my job, relocated to the UK and got dumped 6 weeks before my wedding.
Love can be careful, but you need to have firm plans and definitely a Plan B if you are a woman or are leaving your own country.
I would never in a gazillion years do it again.
