I have a counseling service and took a course on marketing a service business.  One thing they stressed was that in a competitive market it is much easier to build a practice with a specialty.  They recommended targeting your marketing to a particular niche, like a particular type of customer, in your case, a particular type of student whom your services would be ideal for.

When I seek a teacher of Spanish on italki, I look for ones who can speak English well because I can not speak well in Spanish yet.  I think the students most likely to be very interested in your services, the ones you could most easily make into a very attractive specialty,  would be ones who would like their teacher to be able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese. I think your ability to speak Mandarin Chinese should be one of your most important differences for marketing. 

However, you have very limited hours and I think your hours would not be at all convenient for many students in China.  If you were able to offer some hours more convenient in China, I think you would find more students.

One of my Spanish language partners started teaching just a few months ago and has already done several hundred lessons.  In addition to having very good English and being a good teacher, I think one advantage was that he makes himself available many hours each day.  From what I have seen, it is harder to get students when your hours available are more limited. 

Justin, I do think it might help if you re-write your profile as you have grammatical errors in it that I think your intermediate students who want conversation practice would recognize and might have doubts about how well you could correct them.  For example, ¨ Fee is kinda fixed here.¨ ¨Kinda¨ really is not a word.

There's a lot of competition for English teachers since there are so many English speakers, so you'll have to differentiate your profile in some way.

Think about what you'd want to know as a student who doesn't know very much English.  Most of the students looking for teachers are going to be looking for conversation practice (higher level students) or are still very basic.  The higher level students will probably prefer tried and true tutors who they know will be able to answer the complicated questions. The lower level students will be looking for a very easy to understand profile.  Both may be interested in *how* you're planning on running your sessions. Don't just talk about what you expect from the students, what can the student expect from you?
