I think we should be optimistic but personally, I'm afraid of future and I try to be very positive. Since we can't control the world around us and we can't change the environment to be better, we should start to adjust our self first to be good day after day. 

Have you ever heard about the idiom?

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a myth and today is a present", so no matter what we may be confronted with, we must keep our smile all the time even that so harsh, so tough or so difficult. 

Well, it is hard to say, at least I am not so optimistic about the trending of disparity between the richest and poorest which seems getting worse year by year. That is one of the indicators to show if people in the country can win their minimal dignity in economy in the future. 

To the bright side, for sake of the advancement in information technology, the speed of information transmission would be much easier than ever before, that seems indicate less paternalistic leadership in some countries will be expected because the government will be less possible to forge lies to fool their people.
