How to use "得":

Usually  "得" will appear after verb and before adjective,to describe the verb.

For example :跑得快、睡得香、吃得饱、跳得高、做得好

what's more ,my students always confused about “的” 、“地”，all you need to remember is :

“的”+ noun  ：我的爸爸、他的书、你的猫、学校的学生

“地”+ verb ：开心地唱、难过地哭、甜甜地笑、飞快地跑

The word"得"is used before an adverb like 快，and it come after a verb  to express the degree of the behavior usurally .

他跑得很快。（跑的速度怎么样？很快）

这幅画画得不错。（画的画好不好？不错）

你的中国话说得很好。

他病得很厉害。
