P.S. You cannot use ‘another’ with nouns in plural. It should be ‘other heroes’, not ‘another heroes’. Also ‘historical novels’ (‘historic’ means ‘old’ while ‘historical’ means ‘related to history’). And finally, the last sentence, too many comas and subordinate clauses there :) I know we like that sort of things in Russian but in English they would simply say: ‘In general I may say that I like books with interesting ideas, good drama and strong, bright literary style’. Just a suggestion.

Mistakes . . . We all make mistakes. It’s part of the learning process, is it not? I hope I with my corrections didn’t put you off writing, it has been a pleasure talking to you.

Regarding the absence of ‘to’ after ‘make’, yes, there is a rule: when verbs ‘make’ or ‘let’ are used with another verb, the verb in the infinitive form loses its particle ‘to’.

 

P.S. ‘. . . haven't done it only yet’, this won’t do (это не пойдет). You can say either ‘haven't done it as yet’ or ‘haven't done it just yet’, or simply ‘haven't done it yet’.
