...and I'm curious as to what you mean by "English culture".  How do you define "English"?

Does it only refer to England? One small, cloudy (and increasingly insignificant) country in the British Isles, just below Scotland and to the east of Wales? A bit limited, surely?

Or English language speakers?  A vast and amorphous set of hundreds of millions of speakers, made up of dozens of different cultures and ethnicities, spread out across every continent of the planet?  Too broad, surely?
