both of them can be correct. but i think the second one is correct in the movie and means "end of the world". but for the first one it needs something else. for example "the world has gone cold". Also, "the world is gone" is an album was released by Various in 2006 :)

The short form of "The world has gone" can become "The world's gone"

People might misunderstand it as "The world is gone"
