I got an e-mail and the sentence below was written.
"I hope Ms.smith would have breifed you."
※I think "breifed" is incorrect, "briefed" is correct?
What is the meaning of this? I couldn't understand.

The word brief means kind of in short!
for example:" i may ask you to tell me about what happened last night briefly " it means i want you to tell about what happened in short ! you don't have to mention all the details .. just in general.
but the expression you gave i think it mean " I hope Ms smith would have told you or explained to you "
