A passionate Italian song by Ivano Fossati is called "L'orologio americano".
Its lyrics are not easy to understand.

Una canzone italiana dei Camaleonti che si chiama  "L'ora dell'amore"  dice ...  "L'orologio della piazza, ha battuto la sua ora" 😊
In Italia in molte città c'è "Piazza dell'Orologio".
