And I Think to Myself "What a Wonderful Meme"

Hello, friends. Some people think memes only exist as a picture with a top and bottom text but lately it seems that the definition of meme can range from a text post to entire videos. Today, I wanted to share a few memes with you all.

"Whoever threw that paper, your mom's a ho"
This was one of the first vines I ever saw and it was such a great introduction. A simple but spontaneous moment caught on camera and memorialized forever on the internet .

This a nonsensical conversation between two North Americans and I absolutely love it.

The infamous "escalera" vine. This video is an accurate representation of the intensity I can have when playing lotería or really anything.

So, I want to encourage any users who see this post to drop some memes in the discussion. Maybe share a meme that's a source of national pride for you, or a meme that perfectly describes you. Non English memes are more than welcomed. Also, if you have any questions about memes, I think this discussion would be the perfect place to discuss them.

Somewhat of a tangent, but the word “meme” was coined by Richard Dawkins and actually means something that spreads across a species by non-genetic means. It’s derived from the Greek word “mimema”, which means “that which is imitated”, and was coined on the pattern of “gene”.

Funnily enough, the word “meme” itself is a perfect example of a meme. It has spread rapidly around the world over the last few decades.

I love memes! Check out this one below. In Brazil its common to bring home after a birthday party a slide of the cake and some sweets, that's why this meme has gone viral.
