Hello guys, I bought a piece of clothing and on its hangtag is:

Do not allow to lay on itself when wet.

Could you explain it to me? I am not sure about the meaning. Does it mean I can't just lay it, I have to hang it? Or what? :)

Well, I don't know what it means. 'Lay on itself' doesn't make much sense.

All I do know is that it's a bad translation from another language.

Two suggestions:

Are there any other languages on the label? You could photograph it and post it here, so anyone who speaks that language can try to come up with a better translation.

Otherwise, tell us what the garment is and what kind of fabric it's made of.

Your clothing must be DRI FIT or a uniform. It means that you should remove it immediately from the washer and hang it. You need to hang it immediately after washing.
