I have found good male language partners. I did a German-Spanish language exchange with a man from Venezuela for a couple of months. We had around the similar level in our respective languages and similar interests. I found him by correcting his notebook entries. Currently, we don't do regular language exchange but he still corrects my texts when I upload some. And currently I'm doing language exchange with a guy from Belgian. He's learning German and I'm learning Dutch. I found him because I saw his language partner request. Both partners are really good and they never attempted to flirt. I block everyone who tries to flirt. It's just a waste of time dealing with such people. Also, many of the users who pretend to flirt are actually scammers. Therefore I always block and report (especially after having confirmed by a reverse picture search that the person is a scammer). I think for women it's better to approach potential partners proactively. The incoming messages are mostly flirters, scammers or people who don't bother to even read the profiles.

I have had one italki language exchange partner, a woman in China, since 2016. We used to talk on Skype one hour every weekend. This year we agreed to talk every other weekend. Sometimes we need to cancel but generally we meet as we agreed. I do feel like she is a friend.

I have had other language partners, but no one else has really become a friend. My experience is that 3-6 months is a more normal time for a weekly language exchange to last. Like in real life, it's hard to find someone with a schedule and personality that will fit with yours. And for a language partner, you need to find a language match too so it's even harder. I think it's normal to feel frustrated (and therefore, pissed off) with a situation like this, but don't let the frustration take too much of your energy.

All my regular language exchange partners have been women, but I have had language exchanges with a few men on here. Usually just one or two times a year, and only with guys who do not flirt. Good luck!

I have been using language apps for long time and i even do not have 5 good language exchangers although i have lots of friends from these applications. The problem of people is that these people actually do not want to learn languages despite the fact that they say their biggest wish is to learn a language. Many of them want to just have random conversations or sexual topics to talk.

Thanksfully i have 2 friends from this app that who really want to learn my language and can make exchange. I have two other friends from other applications who make exchange.

Yes, I've found a few. They are as difficult to find as the proverbial needle in the haystack, but they do exist. You just need A LOT of patience.
